CLIENT CONTEXT AND NEEDS
Amdocs is a global leader in software and services for communications, media, and financial service providers, enabling its clients to deliver cutting-edge digital experiences. With deep expertise in cloud computing, 5G, and artificial intelligence, Amdocs plays a pivotal role in driving digital transformation across industries. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, the company has a workforce of over 31,000 employees worldwide.
At the heart of Amdocs’ culture is a strong emphasis on individual ownership, purposeful action, and continuous growth. In line with this, the organization launched the “Me Inc.” series — a thoughtfully curated set of development experiences designed to help employees build authentic professional identities rooted in self-awareness, intention, and long-term impact.
Within this larger framework, a need was identified to support employees in:
- Reconnecting with their core values
- Gaining clarity on their unique professional journeys, and
- Crafting meaningful personal legacies.
The goal was to foster a deeper sense of purpose and alignment that would energize individual contribution and collective success.
To bring this vision to life, Amdocs partnered with Emergence Learning Solutions to design and deliver an immersive learning experience aimed at creating a reflective space for participants to explore their inner compass and move forward with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.
OUR APPROACH
Emergence Learning Solutions designed and facilitated a powerful learning intervention titled “The True North” — a deep-dive, experiential session crafted to help participants reflect, realign, and reimagine their professional identity. The session was anchored in five key areas of impact:
- Clarity on personal and professional values
- Distinguishing authentic choices from external expectations
- Visioning the Current vs. Future Self at work
- Crafting a meaningful personal brand mission
- Planning intentional steps for long-term growth and visibility
What set this intervention apart was its unique combination of experiential depth and future orientation.

Rediscovering the Authentic Self
- The session began with guided reflections such as “Where are you coming from? Where are you going?” and “When was the last time you felt truly alive at work?”
- Participants identified professional energizers — including tasks, values, environments, and relationships — and built Lego® models to represent them.
- They explored themes like settling, career rebellion, and the comfort zone, uncovering insights about their current state of being.
Mapping Present and Future Selves
Participants constructed two models:
- Current Role – Representing their present responsibilities, relationships at work, skills, and work environment.
- Aspirational Role (3 Years Ahead) – Capturing their ideal job, impact, and fulfilment.
Using these models, they:
- Identified gaps between present and future.
- Mapped what needed to change — both internally (mindset, habits) and externally (network, skills, environment).
- Focused on controllable factors they could act on immediately to begin the transformation.
Crafting the Personal Brand
Participants synthesized self-awareness into self-expression by working through 4 key areas to shape their Personal Brand:
- Professional Goals
- What They Want to Be Known For
- Unique Strengths
- Key Stakeholders
These elements culminated in a Personal Brand Mission Statement that clearly articulated their identity, purpose, and impact.
Purpose into action
The session closed with a personal commitment exercise.
- Participants outlined weekly actions to move toward their future selves.
- They identified ways to amplify their brand — through conversations, mentoring, and storytelling.

Outcome Achieved
Over 75 professionals participated in a highly engaging 2-hour ConnectSphere experience.
The session ignited a shift from “I have a job” to “I am building a professional legacy.”
